Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a locum tenens physician in Wisconsin to provide inpatient coverage in a high-volume setting. You will join an on-site team with scheduled hours and after-hours call, while supporting a robust pipeline of procedures and complex cases.

The role includes targeted lung biopsy, vertebroplasty, dialysis access, angio, IVC filters, G-tubes, abscess drains, and interprocedural DR readings. Travel, housing, and malpractice are arranged, with ongoing consultant support.

Responsibilities

• M-F, 7 am – 6 pm with on-site coverage every other week.
• Weekday call from 6 pm; weekend call Fri 6 pm – Mon 7 am.
• Inpatient-driven, high-volume procedures per MD schedule.
• APP always on call alongside the MD.
• Targeted lung biopsy required.
• High-volume: vertebroplasty, dialysis access, angio, IVC filters.
• G-tubes, abscess drains, and DR readings between procedures.
• Assignment details and time entry in online portal.
• Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses.
