Job summary

77 consultants is looking for a Locum Gastroenterologist in Augusta, Georgia. This role includes providing high-quality patient care, performing endoscopic procedures, and collaborating with healthcare professionals. Candidates must have an MD or DO degree, board certification in Gastroenterology, and significant clinical experience. The schedule involves Monday-Sunday shifts with an expected daily volume of 20-30 patients and must be able to perform ERCP. Paid travel and expenses are covered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in gastroenterology.
• Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive gastroenterology consultations and treatment plans.
• Perform endoscopic procedures and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment options and preventative care.

Skills

Strong clinical and diagnostic skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Education

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology

Current state medical license to practice in Augusta
