Job summary

Medicus has partnered with a hospital in northeastern Oregon that requires a General Surgeon for locum tenens coverage. Schedule is Monday-Thursday, 8a-5p, with nightly call Monday-Thursday and 24-hour call Friday-Sunday. Work in clinic and OR with CRNA support; case mix includes upper/lower GI, hernias, and endoscopy.

Board-certified surgeons with BLS are required. Travel and lodging are provided; comprehensive malpractice coverage and licensing/credentialing support are included by Medicus.

Qualifications

• Board-certified General Surgeon required.
• BLS certification required.
• Locum tenens coverage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform GI procedures including upper and lower endoscopy.
• Work in clinic and OR settings with CRNA support.
• Adhere to schedule and call requirements (Mon-Thu days, nightly Mon-Thu calls, Fri-Sun 24-hour calls).
