Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a board-certified general surgeon for locum tenens assignments in North Carolina. Expect nights and weekend inpatient/outpatient call coverage, with outpatient clinics handling about 25 patients daily and up to 8 elective surgical cases per day.

Solo call coverage and a range of procedures, including scopes and hernia repairs, are part of the role. Minimum 5 years of experience preferred and BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• Nights & weekends -- inpatient & outpatient call coverage.
• 25 patients per day during outpatient clinic.
• Up to 8 elective surgical cases per day.
• Solo call coverage.
• Upper and lower scopes, gallbladder and appendix removal, hernia repair.
• Board-certified general surgery required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses.
• Assignment details and time entry in online portal.
