Job summary

CompHealth is seeking a locum tenens surgeon to join a network of facilities across the nation. The role includes weekend call (Fridays 7 am to Mondays 7 am, one weekend per month), daily inpatient rounds with APP support, and a steady surgical and consult volume.

The assignment covers two hospital facilities, with robotic surgery training a plus and on-site coverage. Pediatrics are not required, and the recruiter will handle credentialing, housing/travel, and time-entry details.

Qualifications

• Weekend call commitment on a regular schedule (Friday 7am – Monday 7am, 1 weekend per month).
• Bread-and-butter surgical workload with upper/lower endoscopy procedures.
• Robotic surgery training is a plus and a robot is on site.
• Pediatrics not required; age range and general adult patient population as described.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-house case coverage with weekend call.
• Round with inpatients daily (30–40 patients) with APP support.
• Manage 4–5 surgical cases per day on average.
• Provide consultations (8–10 cases per day).
• Cover two hospital facilities (primary in-person and on-call site).
