Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing seeks a Board Certified General Surgeon for locum tenens coverage in Hazard, KY. This on-site assignment requires 24-hour on-call coverage with shifts starting Oct 23 and continuing as needed, including trauma, wound care, and a wide range of general surgery procedures.

The position requires capability in laparoscopic, vascular, and plastic procedures as needed, with on-call responsibilities and thorough documentation in MediTech EMR.

Qualifications

• Board certified in General Surgery.
• Active KY license or Universal license (IMLC).
• BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency general surgery procedures including bowel resection, trauma surgery, and perforation repairs.
• Manage incision and drainage of abscesses and wound care.
• Provide on-call coverage for emergency surgical consultations and interventions.
• Utilize advanced surgical skills as needed (laparoscopic, vascular, plastic surgery).
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the EMR system (MediTech).
