Job summary

Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a locum General Dentist in Tiffin, IA. The assignment runs for 3 weeks with 19:00–07:00 shifts and no call, paying from $100 to $125 per hour.

The position requires a DDS or DMD, an Iowa license, and current BLS. You will perform comprehensive dental care, diagnostics, and a range of procedures, while coordinating with the dental team in an outpatient clinic.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
• Active and unrestricted dental license in Iowa.
• Current BLS certification.
• Additional certifications may be required based on practice or state regulations.
• Most locum dentist positions prefer at least one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments and diagnose dental conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Perform a variety of dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, root canals, and crown and bridge work.
• Provide preventive dental care, such as cleanings and oral hygiene education.
• Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed.
• Collaborate with dental hygienists, dental assistants and other dental professionals.
• Maintain accurate and complete dental records.
