Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a physician for inpatient and outpatient coverage in Illinois, including admissions. The role requires 30-minute beeper response with full callback, and performance of GI procedures such as upper GI endoscopy, PEG, and colonoscopy. Flexibility for ERCP and dilatation/manometry preferred.

Expect about 5 phone consults, 5 patients seen, and 5 admissions per 24 hours. Travel and housing are prepaid; malpractice insurance is provided.

Responsibilities

• Both inpatient and outpatient coverage -- admissions required
• Beeper call -- 30 min response time, 100% callback required
• Upper GI endoscopy, PEG, colonoscopy, and more required
• Small bowel biopsy and sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid) required
• ERCP and esophageal dilatation/manometry preferred
• Call includes avg 5 phone consults, 5 seen, 5 admissions per 24 hrs
• Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
