Job summary

77 consultants is seeking an Associate-level Gastroenterology physician for an on-site, contract role in Vineland, NJ. The candidate will diagnose and treat GI disorders, perform endoscopies/colonoscopy, and work with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include patient evaluation, care planning, documentation, and on-call coverage. Board certification in Gastroenterology and active NJ license are required; Epic EMR is used for records.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Gastroenterology or eligibility.
• Active license to practice medicine in the applicable jurisdiction.
• Residency in Internal Medicine followed by a Gastroenterology fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
• Perform and interpret endoscopic procedures including endoscopies and colonoscopies.
• Develop individualized patient care plans based on clinical findings.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals for coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with policies.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, options, and preventive care.
• Provide consultations for complex GI cases and participate in team meetings.
• Adhere to medical standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in on-call coverage and emergency consultations.
• Contribute to quality improvement and clinical outcomes.
