Job summary

LocumTenens.com is seeking an NP for a combined Emergency Department and Hospitalist role in Baudette, MN. The assignment features 24-hour shifts, inpatient and ER coverage, and call responsibilities, with certifications required for ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, DEA, and prescriptive authority.

The clinician will manage ED patients, admit to acute care or swing bed units, and coordinate transfers, with Telemedicine support and physician-to-physician discussions as needed.

Qualifications

• Board certification required for the specialty.
• Prescriptive authority required.
• ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Care for ED patients and hospitalized adults, with inpatient and ER duties.
• Admit patients to acute care, observation, or swing bed units as needed.
• Coordinate transfers and participate in physician-to-physician discussions.
• Round, discharge, and transfer patients when the Medical Director is unavailable.
• Provide care during 24-hour shifts with call coverage.
