Job summary

gobravvo is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Brownsville, Texas. The role targets board-certified or board-eligible physicians to deliver care in a Level III Trauma Center with a diverse patient mix.

Expect 12-hour day and night shifts with APP support, Cerner EMR documentation, and exposure to a high-volume ED (about 32,000 visits annually). Tail coverage malpractice insurance is provided and cross-credentialing across South Texas facilities is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or ABOEM).
• ATLS and PALS certifications accepted; IMLC eligible preferred.
• Meet state licensing and credentialing requirements; cross-credentialing at South Texas facilities may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and deliver acute emergency care.
• Stabilize and manage patients with life‑threatening conditions.
• Collaborate with trauma, surgery and specialty consultants; document in Cerner EMR.
• Participate in department meetings and quality initiatives; provide mentorship as needed.
