Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing seeks a Board Certified ABEM Emergency Medicine physician for a locum Tenens assignment in Laredo, Texas. The 13-bed ED operates in a Level III trauma setting with multi-specialty backup support and Cerner EMR.

This coverage runs Oct 03, 2026 – ongoing, with 12-hour shifts. Texas license and active DEA are preferred; ATLS/ACLS/PALS are required. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.

Qualifications

• Board-certified ABEM physician for Emergency Medicine.
• Active Texas medical license required.
• DEA license (may be in process).
• ATLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care in a Level III Trauma Center.
• Manage 13-bed ED with APP coverage.
• Coordinate transfers for complex pediatric cases.
• Collaborate with Cath Lab, ICU, and Neurosurgery backup teams.
• Maintain meticulous medical records in Cerner EMR.
