Job summary

This is a 12-week Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) locum assignment in the St. Louis metro area, starting November 3, 2025. Shifts are 8 hours with full-time hours and optional OT; weekday coverage with no in-house or weeknights/weekends pager calls.

Candidates must already hold NBCRNA certification and IL RN and CRNA licenses. CRNAs work under anesthesiologists at a 2:1 ratio; Epic and iPro are used for charting.

Qualifications

• NBCRNA certification is required.
• Valid Illinois RN and CRNA licenses.
• 1–3 years CRNA experience preferred; proficiency in General, OB and Ortho.
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to provide anesthesia care to diverse patient populations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS or other certs as applicable.
• Must already have IL license before applying.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments.
• Verify patient consent.
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks.
• Perform induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitor patient's physiological condition.
• Carry out clinical interventions as needed.
