Job summary

Aya Locums is seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens assignment in Chicago, IL. The role runs 13 weeks with a schedule of 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each from 07:00 to 15:00, starting 11-20-26.

Responsibilities include preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management, postoperative pain control, and collaboration with surgical teams. IL APRN licensure and NBCRNA certification are required, with a minimum of one year of clinical

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited CRNA program.
• Active IL APRN license and NBCRNA certification.
• At least 1 year of clinical anesthesia experience (locum preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management and postoperative pain management.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Monitor vitals and adjust anesthetic plans as needed during procedures.
• Respond to emergencies and provide critical care interventions as required.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records and stay updated on anesthesia practice.
