Palm Careers is recruiting an independent CRNA for a weekday, outpatient-focused assignment in central Pennsylvania. The role offers 4x10-hour days (7:00a–5:30p) with no call, nights, or weekends, and an outpatient surgical case mix across multiple specialties.

Enjoy a strong anesthesia team, Cerner/Epic transitions, and a supportive work environment. The assignment is 6 months with potential extension, starting July 1, 2026, in a Level II trauma center near Harrisburg.

Qualifications

• NBCRNA certification is required.
• Active PA license or IMLC accepted.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient-focused anesthesia across a broad case mix.

Locum CRNA Opportunity in Central Pennsylvania | No Call + Weekday Schedule

Start Date: July 1, 2026

End Date: December 31, 2026

Duration: 6 months (extension possible)

Rate: Negotiable based on coverage commitment

Schedule & Setup

• Monday–Friday only
• 4x10s (7:00a–5:30p)
• No call, no nights, no weekends
• Scheduled clinical hours only (no call responsibilities)
• Outpatient-focused hospital setting
• Cases per day: ~2–12 depending on specialty

Facility & Location Overview

This is a Level II trauma-designated regional medical center in central Pennsylvania, just outside the capital region with easy access to Harrisburg International Airport (MDT).

The facility serves as a high-functioning surgical hub with strong procedural volume and efficient workflows. The anesthesia department is well-supported, featuring an 11-bed unit, full PACU capabilities, and experienced OR staff.

The surrounding area offers a balanced lifestyle—short commutes, reliable housing options, and convenient access to outdoor recreation, restaurants, and local amenities.

Clinical Responsibilities & Case Mix

• Independent CRNA practice (no supervision required)
• Broad, outpatient-driven case mix including:
  • General surgery
  • Orthopedics (including complex)
  • ENT, plastics
  • Neurosurgery (head & spine)
  • Urology, ophthalmology, podiatry
  • Endoscopy, EP, bronchoscopy
  • Vascular (non-open heart)
  • ECT support
• No OB, no cardiac/open heart cases

Preferred Skills (not required):

• Spinal anesthesia
• Arterial line placement
• Ventilation and hemodynamic management

Practice Environment

• 11-bed anesthesia department
• Strong OR + PACU support
• No rounding or admissions
• Efficient, procedure-focused workflow
• EMR: Cerner (transitioning to Epic later in 2026)

Requirements
