Job summary

77 consultants is seeking a Locum NP/PA in Critical Care for an on-site role in a 30-bed mixed ICU. You will assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

Shifts are 12 hours, with night or day options, and no-call requirements. The ideal candidate holds an unrestricted NP or PA license with board certification and ACLS/DEA; prior critical care experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Board certification as NP (ACNP/AGACNP) or PA-C.
• ACLS and DEA required.
• Critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment and management of critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to develop care plans.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within scope.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to guide decisions.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records.
• Participate in rounds and contribute to quality improvement.
• Ensure compliance with medical protocols and safety standards.
• Respond to changes in patient status and emergencies.
