Job summary

77 consultants seeks an associate-level Locum Critical Care Physician to deliver high-acuity patient care in an on-site clinical setting in Ogden, Utah. You will collaborate with intensivists, nurses and specialists to manage ICU patients.

Schedule is 7a-5p with call 5p-7a; expect ~12 patients per shift and involvement in rounds, procedures, and quality initiatives. Strong airway and invasive line skills, BLS/ACLS and active licensure are required.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or eligible in Critical Care Medicine or equivalent.
• Active, unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain before start).
• Associate-level experience in critical care or high-acuity settings.
• Proficiency in managing complex conditions and hemodynamic instability.
• Advanced procedural skills including airway management and invasive lines.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and required critical care credentials.
• Excellent judgment, communication, and teamwork under pressure.
• Ability to work a flexible on-site contract schedule (nights/weekends/holidays).
• Preferred: Fellowship in Critical Care; EMR experience; locum/contract experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care services to adult ICU patients.
• Perform thorough assessments, develop differential diagnoses, and initiate treatments.
• Manage ventilation, hemodynamics, and life-support technologies.
• Perform invasive procedures as needed (central lines, arterial lines, intubation).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated care across shifts.
• Communicate prognosis and options clearly with patients and families.
• Document evaluations, procedures, and outcomes accurately.
• Participate in rounds, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Respond promptly to rapid response activations and emergencies.
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and regulatory standards.
