Job summary

77 consultants seeks a Locum Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to provide comprehensive midwifery and women's health care in a dynamic clinical setting in Florida. You will work with physicians and care teams to deliver safe, patient-centered outcomes across prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum services.

The role requires AMCB CNM certification, Florida RN/APRN licensure (or eligibility), and a master's in Nursing or Midwifery. Schedule: 12-hour shifts; will rotate between multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted CNM certification through AMCB.
• Active Florida RN and APRN/CNM licensure, or eligibility.
• Master's degree in Nursing or Midwifery.
• Associate-level clinical experience in obstetrics, gynecology, or women's health.
• Strong knowledge of prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care protocols.
• Proficiency with electronic health records.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
• Ability to work independently in varied clinical settings.
• Preferred: High-risk obstetric experience.
• Preferred: BLS and NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide prenatal care with history, exams, and fetal monitoring.
• Manage normal labor and delivery; collaborate with physicians on complications.
• Perform postpartum care for mothers and newborns; counseling and follow-up.
• Conduct gynecologic exams, well-woman visits, and family planning.
• Order, interpret, and act on diagnostics and labs.
• Prescribe medications and contraceptives per regulations.
• Educate patients on pregnancy, childbirth, contraception, and sexual health.
• Document encounters; maintain EHR compliance.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and staff for coordinated care.
• Adhere to clinical guidelines and safety standards.
