  4. Schedule and Coverage: Scheduled No Call, Standard 5, 8-Hour Shift (19:00 - 07:00)

About the Facility: Acute Care Hospital

General Job Responsibilities:

  1. Provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management, and postoperative pain management.
  2. Collaborate with surgeons, surgical teams, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  3. Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic plans as needed.
  4. Respond to emergencies and provide critical care interventions.
  5. Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
  6. Stay current on the latest advancements in anesthesia practice through continuing education.

License & Certifications: Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Connecticut. National certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).

Experience: While specific requirements may vary, most locum CRNA positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical anesthesia setting.
