Job summary

77 consultants seeks an Associate-level Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon for an on-site, contract role in Madison, WI. You will perform comprehensive evaluations, participate in CABG and valve procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and outcomes.

Responsibilities include post-operative care, documentation in EMR, and participating in on-call rotations with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiothoracic/Thoracic Surgery.
• Active unrestricted medical license; DEA registration; ability to obtain state licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operative evaluations and risk assessments for cardiothoracic patients.
• Conduct and assist in CABG, valve repair/replacement, and thoracic resections.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and nursing teams for intra-operative management.
• Manage post-operative ICU care and follow-up, coordinating step-down plans.
