Job summary

CompHealth APP is seeking a Physician Assistant for Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage in Chesapeake, Virginia. This locum tenens role requires board certification, a current DEA, and VA state licensure, with 1st assisting in the OR for EVH (Maquet) and post‑op rounding.

Housing and travel are provided, and licensing and malpractice costs are covered. The position supports a 13‑week assignment with ongoing credentialing facilitation and a 24/7 personal recruiter to handle details.

Qualifications

• Board certification in physician assistant practice.
• Current DEA license and Virginia state license.
• Experience with Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery preferred.
• Able to perform first assisting in the OR for EVH when needed.

Responsibilities

• 1st assisting in the OR for EVH (Maquet).
• Rounding and some clinic follow-up with post‑op patients.
• Collaborate with supervising surgeon and other APPs.
• Provide patient care with appropriate documentation and handoffs.
