Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Residency in anesthesiology accredited by ACGME or AOA.
• Board certification in anesthesiology (ABA or AOA).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative anesthesia care.
• Collaborate with surgeons and teams to plan patient care.
• Administer general, regional or local anesthesia as needed.
• Monitor vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels for safety.
• Respond to emergencies during surgery.
• Document care accurately in the medical record.
• Stay current with anesthesiology advances via continuing education.
