Job summary

Aya Locums in Richmond, VA seeks a locum anesthesiologist to cover a one-week assignment. Responsibilities include preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative anesthesia care for various procedures, with general, regional and local techniques as needed. Schedule is standard 09:00–17:00, five days a week, no call.

Compensation is competitive: $300–$325 per hour. VA license and board certification required. Start date 2026-10-12 with immediate placement.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative anesthesia care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer general, regional, or local anesthesia as required by each procedure.
• Continuously monitor vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels to maintain patient safety.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and critical situations during surgery.
• Document patient care accurately in the medical record.
• Stay current on advancements in anesthesiology through continuing education.
