Job summary

Aya Locums in Austin, TX seeks a locum Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) to provide anesthesia care for diverse surgical procedures. The assignment runs 13 weeks with 5/8 shifts, 07:00–16:00, and includes travel and credentialing support.

Board-certified or eligible anesthesiologists with TX license and ACGE/AOA training are preferred; start date 12-08-26. Pay ranges from $325 to $340 per hour, with comprehensive locum benefits.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency in anesthesiology.
• Board certification in anesthesiology by ABA or AOA.
• Active and unrestricted Texas medical license.
• At least 1 year of anesthesiology experience in a clinical setting (locum).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative anesthesia care for patients undergoing various surgeries.
• Collaborate with surgeons and teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer general, regional, or local anesthesia as needed.
• Continuously monitor vitals and adjust anesthesia levels for patient safety.
• Respond to emergencies during surgery.
• Document patient care in the medical record.
• Pursue continuing education to stay current in anesthesiology.
