Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage in Eureka, CA. Inpatient service requires anesthesia for diverse cases with 8–12 hour weekday shifts and after-hours beeper calls. Epic EMR is in use and strong support staff are available.

The assignment runs through January 2027 with travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered. CA licensure and DEA are required.

Qualifications

• Board certified or board-eligible anesthesiologist.
• Licensed to practice in California (CA).
• DEA license required.

Responsibilities

• Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia for a variety of surgical cases.
• Perform pre-operative assessments and develop anesthesia care plans.
• Manage airway and ventilation, including difficult airway scenarios.
• Place central venous and arterial lines as needed.
• Provide acute pain management including epidurals and nerve blocks.
