Job summary

Medicus has partnered with a hospital in northern Georgia to provide locum tenens coverage for an Anatomic Pathologist. The role includes Level II trauma pathology, daily 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule with weeknights and weekend on-call shifts, and frozen sections when on call.

Support staff includes HTs, CT, PA, and transcriptionists. EMR is Epic, and board-certified pathologists are required. Travel and expenses are paid, with lodging arranged by Medicus.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Anatomic Pathologist required.
• Experience in Level II trauma setting preferred.
• Ability to perform frozen sections on call.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic surgical pathology coverage in a Level II trauma setting.
• Perform frozen sections on on-call basis.
• Report via Epic EMR and document findings promptly.
• Maintain regular schedule: Mon–Fri, 8a–5p, with weeknights/weekends on call.
