Job summary

Pop-A-Lock, America's largest locksmith, is seeking a full-time locksmith for an immediate opening. You will be provided a vehicle and all tools; work outside a shop in Northwest Indiana.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of locksmith experience, strong automotive and residential skills, and the ability to cut keys and program transponders for various makes. Excellent customer service and a professional demeanor are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years locksmith experience.
• Strong automotive and residential locksmithing background.
• Ability to cut keys and program transponders for various makes.
• Familiar with transponder key programming.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• On-call availability some nights, weekends and holidays.
• Professional demeanor with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair locking devices and door hardware.
• Residential/Commercial locksmithing (rekeying, master keying, etc.).
• Automotive locksmithing (tear down locks, determine key codes, cut keys, program transponders, etc.).
• Car Door Unlocking (training provided).
• Disassemble locks, replace worn parts and components.
• Cut new or duplicate keys using key cutting machines.

Pop-A-Lock, America's largest locksmith, car door unlocking, and roadside assistance company, is looking for a highly motivated locksmith for an immediate full-time opening. You will not be working in a shop, but instead will be provided a vehicle and all tools needed.

You are an ideal candidate if:

• You have 2-3 years' locksmith experience
• You have a solid background in automotive and residential locksmithing
• You have the ability to quickly and easily make keys for several automobile makes and models when there is no current key present
• You have familiarity with transponder key programming
• You have excellent communications skills
• You are professional and courteous
• You have great customer service skills
• You are trainable and willing to learn new skills
• You are willing to be on call some nights, weekends and holidays
• You have an excellent driving record

Duties include:

• Install, maintain, rebuild and repair mechanical or electrical locking devices and door hardware using hand tools and special equipment
• Residential/Commercial locksmithing (lock picking, rekeying, master keying, etc.)
• Automotive locksmithing (tear down locks, determine key codes, cut keys, program transponders, etc.)
• Car Door Unlocking (training provided as needed)
• Disassemble locks, such as padlocks, safe locks, and door locks, and repairs and replaces worn tumblers, springs, and other parts
• Cuts new or duplicate keys using key cutting machines
