Job summary

Pop-A-Lock, America's largest locksmith, is seeking a highly motivated locksmith for an immediate full-time opening in Northwest Indiana. You will be provided a vehicle and all tools needed to perform automotive and residential work.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of locksmith experience, including key cutting and transponder programming, and demonstrate excellent communication and customer service. On-call availability may be required evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years locksmith experience.
• Strong automotive and residential locksmithing background.
• Ability to cut keys for several automobile makes/models.
• Familiar with transponder key programming.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, courteous, and trainable.
• Willing to be on call nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair mechanical or electrical locking devices and door hardware.
• Residential and commercial locksmithing (lock picking, rekeying, master keying).
• Automotive locksmithing (tear down locks, determine key codes, cut keys, program transponders).
• Car door unlocking assistance as needed (training provided).
• Disassemble locks and replace worn tumblers, springs, and other parts.
• Cut new or duplicate keys using key cutting machines.

Pop-A-Lock, America's largest locksmith, car door unlocking, and roadside assistance company, is looking for a highly motivated locksmith for an immediate full-time opening. You will not be working in a shop, but instead will be provided a vehicle and all tools needed.

You are an ideal candidate if:

• You have 2-3 years' locksmith experience
• You have a solid background in automotive and residential locksmithing
• You have the ability to quickly and easily make keys for several automobile makes and models when there is no current key present
• You have familiarity with transponder key programming
• You have excellent communications skills
• You are professional and courteous
• You have great customer service skills
• You are trainable and willing to learn new skills
• You are willing to be on call some nights, weekends and holidays
• You have an excellent driving record

Duties include:

• Install, maintain, rebuild and repair mechanical or electrical locking devices and door hardware using hand tools and special equipment
• Residential/Commercial locksmithing (lock picking, rekeying, master keying, etc.)
• Automotive locksmithing (tear down locks, determine key codes, cut keys, program transponders, etc.)
• Car Door Unlocking (training provided as needed)
• Disassemble locks, such as padlocks, safe locks, and door locks, and repairs and replaces worn tumblers, springs, and other parts
• Cuts new or duplicate keys using key cutting machines
