The U.S. Legislative Branch is seeking a locksmith for the Architect of the Capitol's Office. The position involves installing, repairing, and modifying security locks and devices, ensuring both security and functionality in important government buildings. This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief of Operations, House Office Buildings (HOB), Tenant Services Division, Carpentry Branch.
The incumbent repairs, overhauls, modifies, reworks, tests, and installs locks and hardware on doors, cabinets, desks, compartments, safes, and other security locations, including electronic locks.
Perform tasks related to the installation, repair, and modification of various locking devices and electronic locks to ensure security and functionality.
