Job summary

Troon Country Club is seeking a dedicated locker and spa attendant to support guest locker needs and spa amenities at the club. Responsibilities include inventory control, maintaining cleanliness in guest spaces, and assisting with key handling and locker operations.

Essential duties cover shoe care, spike replacements, and locker maintenance, with emphasis on accurate tracking and customer service. Education is flexible, with entry-level experience acceptable.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and speak English may be required to communicate with guests and co-workers.
• May involve reading simple instructions, memos, and basic communication in English.
• Basic math for inventory and locker tracking tasks.

Responsibilities

• All facets of shoe care including cleaning, buffing, polishing, edging and storage.
• Perform spike replacement services for members and guests.
• Clean and maintain public and private locker spaces.
• Qualify guests for daily golf or spa locker assignments.
• Record name, date and locker number on tracking board.
• Distribute keys and inform guests of hours and key return policy.
• Escort guests to pre-determined locker spaces and provide linen or attire as needed.
• Clean and polish shoes and re-place them in lockers; follow safe work practices.

General Purpose

Accommodate guest needs as they relate to operational spa and locker amenities. Responsibilities included inventory control of all spa and locker supplies, maintaining cleanliness standard in all guest spaces, while assisting the handling of lock assignments, keys and articles.

• All facets of shoe care, not limited to cleaning, buffing, polishing, edging, and storage of member and guest shoes.
• Perform individual and complete spike replacement services for members and guests alike.
• Clean and maintain public and private locker spaces.
• Qualify guest for daily golf or spa locker assignment.
• Record name, date, and locker number on tracking board.
• Distribute keys.
• Inform guest of hours of operation and key return policy.
• Escort guest to predetermined locker space.
• Provide necessary linen and/or attire when appropriate.
• Clean and polish shoes and replace in appropriate, predetermined locker space when applicable and/or as instructed.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Attend staff meetings.

Education/Experience

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

Occasionally stands and walks; uses hands to finger, handle or feel; reaches with hands and arms. Frequently sits. Occasionally stoops, kneels crouches or crawls; talks or hears; Occasionally has to lift up to 10 pounds. Regularly uses close, distance, color and peripheral vision as well as depth perception.

Environment/Noise

Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
