Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a Locator Technician in Colorado or Nebraska to perform field locate and mark activities for gas and electric utilities. The role requires documenting findings, using maps and blueprints, and maintaining detailed DPRs.

You will interact with clients and team members, employing electronic, magnetic, blueprint analysis, and radar techniques to identify utility locations and ensure accurate markings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Willingness to travel is required.
• Prior field/locator experience is preferred.
• Must pass DOT drug screen (compliant) and maintain driving record.

Responsibilities

• Ensure field locate & mark activities adhere to company specifications and standards.
• Maintain Daily Progress Reports (DPRs).
• Use maps/blueprints to locate utilities and mark gas/electric lines.
• Document interactions and site info in organizational software.
• Communicate with customers and leadership regarding findings.
• Operate various locating techniques (electronic, magnetic, blueprint analysis, radar).
• Provide daily/weekly production data reports.
• Post informational notices to residents about inspection procedures.

We have a current need for a Locator Technician based Colorado or Nebraska.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all field locate & mark activities adhere to the company specifications and standards.
• Responsible for the ongoing compliance of all line locate & mark procedures and providing the best possible field assurance services to the client’s operations.
• Maintain well documented Daily Progress Reports (DPRs)
• Utilize maps and blueprints to identify and mark the location of utilities such as gas and electric lines if applicable.
• Document interactions, site information and utilities in organizational software.
• Communicate with customers and internal leadership.
• Use a variety of techniques including electronic, magnetic, blueprint analysis, and/or radar to locate utilities.
• Provide daily and weekly production data reports.
• Post informational door tags/letters notifying residents of our inspection procedures,
• Maintain a professional relationship with client and their contractors other team members, and consistently deliver excellent client work.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Willingness to travel.
• Prior field and/or locator experience preferred.
• Successfully pass DOT (compliant) drug screen and future random DOT drug screens.
• Possession of a valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record
