Job summary

Beach Road Precision Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Directional Drilling Locator to support HDD crews in safe and accurate underground bore completion. You will operate locating equipment, walk the bore path, track the drill head, and communicate depth and alignment to the operator.

The role requires at least 1 year of HDD locator experience, strong knowledge of utilities and boring methods, and the ability to read plans and maps. CDL is a plus; field work is outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year HDD Locator experience required.
  • Ability to read bore plans, maps and utility marking systems.
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus.
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate locating equipment to guide drill operator.
  • Walk bore path, track drill head, and communicate depth and alignment.
  • Read plans and identify conflicts with utilities.
  • Perform potholing and utility verification.
  • Maintain equipment logs and daily drilling reports.
  • Assist with pullback, mud mixing, and site restoration.

Full-Time | Utilities & Construction | Field OperationsAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and reliable Directional Drilling Locator to support our HDD crews in safe and accurately completing underground bores.
