Job summary

Keystone Cooperative in Roselawn, Indiana seeks a Location Manager to drive operations and profitability while overseeing agronomy functions at the location.

You will develop location personnel, manage finances, coordinate facility and equipment, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The role requires strategic planning and hands-on leadership to support short- and long-term location goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in agricultural, grain or business; or five years or more of related work experience.
  • Basic agronomy knowledge and skills (insect, weed and disease identification, fertility).
  • Financial knowledge including reading and understanding financial statements.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain and maintain all certifications, licenses and permits.
  • Ability and willingness to work the hours the season demands.

Responsibilities

  • Develop location personnel capabilities including assisting in hiring, coaching, training, performance management and assigning key tasks.
  • Support the Regional Manager in driving sales growth including assigning accounts to salespeople and calling on accounts.
  • Supervise mixing, loading and dispatch.
  • Manage facility inventory including forecasting product needs and purchasing through approved suppliers.
  • Manage facility finances including budgeting, billing, accounts receivable & payable and prepays.
  • Manage facility assets including maintenance planning and inspections.
  • Make crop protection and fertility recommendations including data and field plans, mapping and recordkeeping.
  • Manage location recordkeeping and compliance with regulations.

Position Overview

This position is responsible for the operations and profitability of the location. This role includes customer relationship development, personnel growth, facility and equipment optimization, financial management andshort & long-termplanning for the location.This role is responsible for Agronomy functions at this location.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Develop location personnel capabilitiesincludingassisting in hiring, coaching, training, performance management and assigning key tasks.
  • Support the RegionalManager in driving sales growthincludingassigning accounts to salespeople, calling on accounts and working with Sales Specialists on accounts, monitoring customer satisfaction through ongoing dialogue and identifying potential prospects.
  • Supervise mixing, loading and dispatch.
  • Manage facility inventoryincludingforecasting product needs, anticipating inventory needs and purchasing product through approved suppliers.
  • Manage facility financesincludingsales and expense budgeting and management, billing, accounts receivables & payables and managing prepays.
  • Manage facility assetsincludingroutine maintenance of facility and equipment replacement plans, and driver equipment inspections.
  • Make Crop Protection and fertility recommendationsincludingDataOnTouchfarm and field plans,mappingand recordkeeping.
  • Manage location recordkeeping including internal financialandcustomer production&financial records.
  • Manage location risk including compliance with regulations, safety and emergency response training,and ongoing site inspections.
  • Developshort- and long-termplans for the location.
Skills And Qualifications
  • Demonstrate essential abilities including personnel management, communications, customer focus and decision making.
  • BasicAgronomy knowledge and skills (insect, weed and disease identification, fertility).
  • Financial knowledge including reading and understanding financial statements.
