The Locate Technician will be responsible for identifying and marking underground utility lines to ensure safe excavation and construction activities. Key Responsibilities

• Locate and mark underground utilities such as gas, water, electric, and telecommunications lines using specialized equipment and maps.


• Respond promptly to locate requests and ensure accurate and timely completion of assignments.


• Communicate effectively with contractors, utility companies, and other stakeholders to coordinate locate activities.


• Maintain detailed records of locate activities, including maps, reports, and photographs.


• Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent damage to underground utilities and ensure personal safety.


• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of locating equipment.


• Assist in training new technicians as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Previous experience in utility locating, construction, or related field preferred.
