Job summary

LineQuest LLC seeks a detail-oriented Locator to join our field team. The Locate Technician will identify and mark underground utilities to support safe excavation and construction activities, requiring strong attention to detail and independent work in varied outdoor environments.

Responsibilities include interpreting maps, coordinating with contractors and utility companies, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring safety guidelines are followed on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
• Previous experience in utility locating, construction, or related field preferred.
• Familiarity with underground utility systems and locating equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

This position involves working outdoors on construction sites and other locations throughout their assigned area. The role does require walking, standing, and lifting of equipment.
