Responsibilities

• Plan and organize projects with Design Control and task interdependencies to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Plan, scope, execute, and monitor localization projects with writers, information architects, DITA specialists, and vendors.
• Proofread translated instructions for use following source content and style guides.
• Lead kickoff and regular meetings with translation suppliers and coordinate written communications.
• Establish deadlines and support needs with external translation vendors.
• Manage schedule challenges, queries, and mitigate project risks to support timelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve questions related to source files, terminology, and workflow.
• Understand regulatory requirements and work with regulatory on submission timelines.
• Ensure Design Control processes are followed per procedures.
• Complete documentation control steps to release final documentation.
• Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Flexible to support other duties to assist department operations.

Job Description

Primary Function of Position

Work as part of the Global Translation and cCMS team to support various elements of the localization workflow from request creation to job completion. Work with translation vendors, regional teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and internal team members to deliver high-quality localized content.

Essential Job Duties

• Able to effectively plan and organize projects, with a solid understanding of Design Control and task interdependencies to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Plan, scope, execute, and monitor localization projects by working with the technical writers, information architect, DITA specialist, documentation specialists, eIFU specialist, project managers, core team members, and external translation vendors
• Proofread the translated instructions for use following the source content, translation style guide, and proofreading checklist
• Participate or lead kickoff and regular meetings with translation suppliers with written communications to prioritize, monitor and track project status
• Establish deadlines and support needs with external translation vendors
• Manage schedule challenges, queries, and mitigate project risks supporting the project timeline
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve questions or conflicts related to source files, terminology, language quality, and workflow
• Understand regulatory requirements and work with regulatory on submission, country-specific registration strategy and timelines
• Ensure Design Control processes are followed per relevant procedures
• Complete documentation control steps to release final documentation, including change orders in the document control system
• Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives
• Localization Specialist needs to be flexible to support various other duties and assignments as requested to assist the overall function of the department

Qualifications

Preferred Skills and Experience

• General knowledge of labeling processes in a regulated environment preferred
• Proficiency in another language is highly preferred

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target compensation ranges are listed.

Compensation Details

Base Compensation Range Region 1: $106,000 USD - $143,400 USD

Base Compensation Range Region 2: $90,100 USD - $121,900 USD

Workplace Type: Purposeful Onsite - This job requires being onsite for leader-defined events and activities which could be monthly/annually. Onsite frequency may increase based on business need.
