Job description

What are we looking for in our Localization Program Manager?

Job Title: Localization Program Manager

Location: Remote

Duration: 6+ months

Pay rate: $50-55/hr W2 (DOE)

Description

Languages are key to our mission of bringing the world closer together. The family of products is currently available in 100+ languages and we are adding many more. Over 70% of people use our products in a language other than English, and approximately 90% are outside of North America. As a Localization Program Manager, you will partner with product and internationalization teams to empower products to feel local at a global scale.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in localization program or project management
  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience in localization/internationalization project or program management
  • Experience with translation technologies: translation memories, translation management systems, machine translation, etc.
  • Experience implementing scalable and change management frameworks
  • Experience communicating across and driving results among cross-functional stakeholders, working across time zones and international offices
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to inform business decisions
  • Ability to stay focused, prioritize, and create structure across large, ambiguous programs and set long-term goals
Responsibilities
  • Engage and build relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders (Product, Design, Engineering, etc.) to launch successful localized products and content
  • Design and implement efficient and scalable end-to-end localization frameworks tailored to various products and content types
  • Guide stakeholders to ensure localization best practices are followed and drive efficient execution
  • Identify and streamline technical and process issues affecting localized product relevancy, quality, and functionality
  • Seek opportunities to optimize the international user experience and influence the adoption of optimal solutions
  • Partner with internationalization teams to ensure resources are in place and deliverables meet standards
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of translation technologies like translation memories, machine translation, CAT tools, and AI applications in localization
  • Knowledge of additional languages beyond English
  • Familiarity with internationalization standards such as Unicode and CLDR
  • Exposure to SQL, analytics tools, or coding languages
  • Experience working with localization vendors
Additional Information

Degree or certification in related fields preferred. The role involves engaging with cross-functional teams to optimize localization processes, launch products in local markets, and improve international user experience.
