Job summary

FAS Localize in the United States is seeking a software engineer to build connectors for Git, CMS and cloud storage, and to integrate MT and LLM engines with glossary and translation-memory enforcement. You will write and harden file filters for XLIFF, JSON, YAML, Office and subtitle formats.

You will automate QA checks and MQM reporting, support PMs with scripting, and contribute to a modern AI pipeline stack with TMS and automation rather than spreadsheets or email chains.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of software engineering with TypeScript or Node.js.
• Comfort with REST APIs, CI and Git.
• A solid understanding of Unicode, encodings and internationalization pitfalls.

Job description

Wire machine translation, LLMs and human review into clients' content pipelines, from connectors and file formats to automated QA.

The AI Pipeline is how FAS plugs into a client's repo, CMS or storage and returns reviewed translations automatically. You will build the connectors and file filters, integrate engines with glossary and TM enforcement, and automate the QA and MQM reporting around them.

Nice to have

• TMS or CAT tool APIs (Phrase, Crowdin, memoQ).
• Prompt design and evaluation of LLM output.
• A second language.
