Smyrna Ready Mix, LLC is seeking a safety-focused Tanker Operator in the Madison, AL area to transport cement from terminals to SRM Concrete plants. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and professional customer service.

Candidates should have a valid Class A CDL with tanker experience, a current DOT Medical Card, and a clean driving record. Training on SRM’s safety standards and pre-employment screenings will be provided as part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• DOT Medical Card current and valid.
• Minimum 2 years’ proven experience driving Class A tanker trucks.
• Clean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for material transport.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform bending, lifting, and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tanker truck to transport cement to SRM plant locations.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Complete delivery documents and logs per company policies and DOT regulations.
• Coordinate with dispatch for delivery instructions and route updates.
• Ensure secure loading/unloading to prevent spills or contamination.
• Adhere to routes, schedules, and safety procedures and provide excellent customer service.

SRM Concrete is seeking a skilled Tanker Operator to safely transport cement from supply terminals to our concrete plants—playing a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Your Mission & Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tanker truck, transporting cement from terminals to various SRM Concrete plant locations.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Accurately complete and maintain logbooks, delivery documentation, and other required paperwork in line with company policies and DOT regulations.
• Communicate proactively with dispatch to receive delivery instructions and provide updates on route progress.
• Ensure secure loading and unloading of cement, preventing spillage or contamination.
• Follow established routes, schedules, and safety procedures for transporting materials.
• Provide exceptional customer service at delivery sites, representing SRM Concrete with professionalism.
• Promptly report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or vehicle damage.
• Stay current on safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

What Sets You Apart

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Tanker Endorsement is helpful, but not required.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience driving Class A tanker trucks.
• Clean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for material transport.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform tasks involving bending, lifting, and climbing.
