Job summary

City Thrift in Lilburn, GA is seeking a motivated driver to join our team. This full-time, first-shift role focuses on safe loading, efficient donation collections, and delivering outstanding donor and customer service in a fast-paced, community-focused environment.

You will operate a large box truck, build routes with care, and help maintain donation sites while adhering to company safety standards. A DOT medical clearance and clean MVR are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 25 years of age or older.
• 2+ years driving a box truck or similar vehicle.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license.
• Must meet DOT medical requirements (DOT physical).
• Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet insurability requirements.
• Background check and hair follicle drug screen required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, push, pull and climb stairs in/out of a truck.

Responsibilities

• Possess the ability to drive and operate a large box truck.
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service to donors and customers.
• Build safe and efficient truckloads of donations using company standards.
• Help maintain donation box sites and routes for collections.
• Assist in future development of routes and trailer site placements.
• Maintain clean, orderly donation sites and routes per protocols.
• Work safely loading and unloading trucks and trailers.
• Work in heat, cold and wet weather conditions.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Possess the ability to drive and operate a large box truck
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service to all donors and customers
• Build safe and efficient truckloads of donations using company operational standards
• Help build, sustain, maintain donation box sites and routes for donation collections
• Assist in the future development of routes, donation box and trailer site placements
• Maintain clean and orderly donation sites and routes based on company operational protocols and standards
• Work safely and efficiently in loading and unloading trucks and trailers
• Possess the ability to regularly work in the heat, the cold and in wet weather conditions

Qualifications:

• Must be 25 years of age.
• 2+ years driving a box truck or like vehicle
• Must possess valid state driver’s license.
• Must meet Department of Transportation medical requirements by passing a DOT physical.
• Applicant’s Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet company insurability requirements.
• Applicant must be willing to submit to a background check and hair follicle drug screen.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Capable of bending, stooping, crouching, pushing, pulling and climbing stairs and in and out of a truck frequently.

Education and Experience:

• High School Degree, GED or equivalent work experiences.
