Job summary

Driven Distribution Group is seeking a Local Route Delivery Driver to safely operate company vehicles and deliver products to customer locations, with a focus on Hot Shot deliveries. The role includes loading/unloading, vehicle inspections, and some warehouse duties as needed.

When required, you will cover scheduled routes as a Route Driver, ensuring timely deliveries while upholding safety standards and exceptional customer service. A valid license with a clean MVR is required.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued Driver’s License with a clean MVR.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Complete same-day Hot Shot deliveries to customer locations.
• Serve as Route Driver to cover regular delivery routes as needed.
• Load, unload, and stock products at customer sites.
• Complete all delivery documentation promptly and accurately.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain a clean, organized delivery vehicle and work area.
• Assist with warehouse duties such as pulling, staging, or stocking.
• Promote a safety-first environment and provide excellent customer service.
• Perform additional duties to support operations.

PositionSummary

TheLocal Route Delivery Driveris responsible forsafely operating company vehicles to deliver products to specified customer locations, with a primary focus on Hot Shot deliveries. This role includes loading and unloading goods, performing vehicle inspections, andassistingwith warehouse operations as needed.When required, the position will also serve as a Route Driver to cover scheduled delivery routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining compliance with all safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles professionally and safely, adhering to all traffic and DOT regulations.

• Complete same-day Hot Shot deliveries to specified customer locations with accuracy and efficiency.

• Serve as a Route Driver when needed to cover regular delivery routes.

• Load, unload, and stack products courteously at customer sites.

• Complete all required delivery documentation accurately and promptly.

• Perform daily vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

• Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle and work area.

• Assist with general warehouse duties, including pulling, staging, or stocking products.

• Promote and maintain a safety-first environment, staying alert and engaged at all times.

• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.

• Carry out other duties as assigned to support operational needs.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).

• Valid state-issued Driver’s License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

• Ability to obtain andmaintaina DOT Medical Card.

• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Exceptional customer service abilities.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of transportation, route delivery, or related driving experience.

• Experience in the automotive aftermarket orlogisticsindustry.

• Familiarity with basic warehouse procedures and systems.

• Working knowledge of DOT safety regulations.

• Possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL – Class A or B)a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position works in both indoor warehouse and outdoor settings, with exposure to varying weather and traffic conditions. The role regularly requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting.

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

• Occasionally lift and/or move items over 100 pounds.

• Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements

Employees in this role must always wear steel-toe or composite safety shoes.
