Job summary

Preferred Materials - Concrete Division, a CRH Company, seeks a Ready Mix Driver for Hernando, FL. Primary duties include operating a concrete mixer to deliver loads to work sites, while keeping the rig clean and safe. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work overtime in various weather conditions.

Qualified candidates hold a Class A or B CDL, have a current medical card or can obtain one, and possess 1–2 years of related experience. DOT drug screen and safety compliance are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Commercial driver\'s license Class A or B required.
• Current medical card or ability to obtain one.
• 1–2 years of related experience or training preferred.
• No DUI in the last 2 years.
• Minimal moving violations.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Able to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Good interpersonal skills; able to establish and maintain respectful relationships with customers and staff.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules, tickets, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• The primary task is driving to and from plant and work sites, including hose down the rig to keep it clean.
• Drive concrete mixer to work sites and discharge load under various conditions including uneven ground.
• May need to lift 25–50 pounds, oil/grease/adjust equipment, and perform related duties.
• Job requires climbing, stooping, bending, squatting, stretching, driving, sitting, and shifting gears.
• Overtime is required and DOT physical/drug screen must be passed.
