Job summary

Ferrellgas is seeking a dependable CDL Driver to deliver propane to homes, farms and businesses across local routes in Illinois. You’ll be the face of Ferrellgas, combining safe driving with friendly, professional service.

You will operate propane trucks, perform daily inspections, and maintain delivery logs while working with a team that values safety and reliability. This role emphasizes on-time deliveries, strong customer interactions, and adherence to DOT standards.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements or ability to obtain quickly.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good driving record and ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or have work authorization; no visa sponsorship required.
• Knowledge of safety and DOT regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver propane to residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
• Lead with teamwork, professionalism, and integrity every day.
• Provide friendly, professional service as the face of Ferrellgas in your community.
• Operate propane trucks and equipment following all DOT and company safety standards.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs.
• Support customers with questions about deliveries, accounts, and propane safety.
• Take part in an on-call rotation for after-hours or weekend emergency deliveries.
