Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking Pipefitters to join our CapEx project team located in Old Ocean, TX. You will assemble and repair boilers, tanks, and vessels to blueprint specs, coordinating rigging and crane operations as part of a field crew. Expect outdoor industrial sites, safety emphasis, and potential overtime based on project needs. Our team emphasizes hands-on work and strict adherence to client safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level).
• Written pre-employment qualification test.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Hazard Communication orientation/test.
• Turner Industries indoctrination.
• OSHA approved corrective eyewear (Z87).
• Job site orientation.
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and disassembles boilers, tanks, vats, pressure vessels, exchangers and heaters according to blueprint specifications.
• Locates and marks reference points for columns and plates on foundations; signals crane operator to lift parts to position; aligns structures to assemble boiler frame, tanks or vats.
• Bolts structures and sections together; installs trays in process towers; completes assembly of water tube boilers.
• Assists in testing assembled vessels and ensures proper fit and safety compliance.
