Job summary

Span Alaska Transportation (MSTS) is seeking a Panel Van Driver to pick up and deliver local freight with a van or small truck. You will assist in loading/unloading, verify loads, and communicate with Dispatch to ensure efficient routes.

A safe driving record and forklift certification are required. Applicants must have a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid Class D license for at least 1 year, a medical card, and the ability to operate in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum six months of driving experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Valid Class D driver's license for at least 1 year.
• Valid Medical Card and forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Pick-up and delivery of local freight using a van or small truck.
• Assist in loading/unloading and moving freight within yard/warehouse.
• Communicate with Dispatch for routes and changes.
• Verify loads against manifests and complete freight paperwork.
• Inspect vehicle and perform minor maintenance as needed.
• Follow Span/MSTS Safety policies and DOT regulations.
• Assist customers in a polite, professional manner.
