Job summary

Acuren seeks an RT Assistant in Longview, TX to support NDT inspections. You will help set up and operate nondestructive testing equipment under supervision, assist Radiographers, and document results according to written instructions.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, some college, and a technical background. The role requires local residency, a 40-hour Radiation Safety Training, and credentials such as IRRSP or TWIC, with background checks and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some college preferred.
• Technical background desired.
• Must pass background check per regulations.
• Based in or near Longview, TX.

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Record results of inspections
• Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management
