Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Service Technician to join our team. This role involves delivering and setting up equipment at patient locations, and educating patients and/or caregivers on the safe use and maintenance of delivered items. In Maryland, this position pays between $20/hr and $24/hr depending on experience and location.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and procedures, including use of protective equipment
• Resolve customer equipment problems under emergency conditions
• Implement quality improvement programs to meet standards
• Assume on-call responsibilities outside of regular hours
• Report vehicle issues that may affect safety
• Complete shipping paperwork for hazardous materials
• Document patient visits and setup activities
• Deliver and educate patients on equipment use and maintenance
• Maintain knowledge of products and regulations
• Develop reimbursement and technical knowledge
• Maintain company vehicle in good condition
• Manage delivery database and maintain records
• Manage territory to meet service goals, deliver equipment and oxygen
• Prepare invoices, work orders, and logs
• Report hazards and incidents
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members
• Perform other duties as assigned

Travel

Travel via company vehicle to patient homes for setup and delivery.

Qualifications

• Background check and drug screening
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED

Preferred Education and Experience

• Experience with medical equipment
• One year of related work experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology

Physical Demands

As per OSHA guidelines, including lifting up to 65 pounds, driving, and exposure to pathogens. Must comply with mask fit testing policies.
