Local projects mean home each night, with overtime and weekend work as needed. You will read blueprints, interpret grade stakes, and work as part of a small crew emphasizing safety, reliability, and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of heavy equipment operation on civil site projects.
• Proven experience with earthwork, grading and civil site development.
• Fine grading experience preferred for precise grades.
• Experience supporting underground utility construction projects.
• Ability to read construction plans and grade stakes.
• Reliability and punctuality in field environments.
• Willingness to perform manual labor and adhere to safety policies.
• Willingness to overtime and occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (dozers, excavators, graders, backhoes, loaders).
• Perform rough and fine grading for earthwork and roadways.
• Assist with trenching and earthmoving for utilities.
• Use GPS-based systems (Topcon) for grading guidance when required.
• Read blueprints and ensure accurate grading and excavation.
• Work as a team member to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain equipment and report issues during inspections.
• Adhere to site safety policies and procedures.
• Occasionally perform additional manual labor when needed.
• Be prepared for overtime/weekend work as project demands.
