Job summary

ChampionX is seeking an Operational Specialist in Hobbs, NM to deliver chemical treatments to oil wells and operate delivery vehicles safely. You will perform routine inspections, log hours of service, and maintain communications with sales and supervision to report safety hazards.

The role requires a valid CDL, willingness to obtain HazMat/Tanker endorsements within 30 days, and a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A or B CDL (CDL)
• Willing to obtain Hazardous Materials and Tanker endorsements within 30 days
• High school graduate or GED with driving eligibility
• Must meet FMCSA/DOT regulatory requirements and maintain a clean driving record (3 years)

Responsibilities

• Provide chemical treatments to oil wells and manage safe operation of delivery vehicles
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure equipment is in safe, operable condition
• Maintain hours of service per regulations using logs or electronic logging devices
• Communicate safety hazards to sales and supervision and keep stakeholders informed
• Load trucks properly, prepare bills of lading, and document treating reports

This is your opportunity to join a global technology company, driving energy innovation for a balanced planet. **What's in it For You:*** Access to best-in-class resources, tools, and technology Access to best in class resources, tools, and technology* Opportunity for a long term, advanced career path* A culture that values safety first, including training and personal protection* Comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company matching and more! **What You Will Do:*** This position will primarily be responsible for providing chemical treatments to oil wells and the maintenance and safe operation of any type of vehicle used to deliver chemicals to customers, plants and/or warehouse locations* Chemical treating of all scheduled wells and locations on a regular basis* Maintain regular communication with sales and supervisor in order to report safety hazards* Maintain truck and equipment in a safe and operable condition by performing daily and periodic mechanical and safety inspections* Maintain driver's hours of service by using Turnpike and/or paper logbook reporting* Keeps current on safety techniques and take advantage of all opportunities to improve driving and safety skills* Recognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environment* Properly load trucks, prepare daily bills of lading, schedule the order of daily treatments and submit treating reports to sales **Position Details:*** Candidate must reside in Odessa, TX **Minimum Qualifications:*** High school graduate or GED* Must currently hold a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL), issued by the state in which the candidate resides* Must be willing and able to obtain Hazardous Material and Tanker Endorsement within the first 30 days of employment* One (1) year of commercial driving experience, compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations, within the past three years required* Acceptable motor vehicle record (3 years)* All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English* Immigration sponsorship is not offered for this role **Physical Demands:*** Must have the ability to Lift/Carry up to 50 pounds chest high.* Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam* Role is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing **Preferred Qualifications:*** Three (3) years commercial driving experience, compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations, within the past five years required* Experience with the operation of forklifts, drum dollies, trailer hoists, chemical pumps, hoses, meters, printers and gauges* Knowledge of precautions needed if exposed to H2S (hydrogen sulfide)* Experience performing warehouse duties, which include preventative maintenance, inventory and ordering of chemicals, receiving incoming shipments, organizing warehouse for safe and efficient chemical storage, operation of customized chemical manufacturing equipment and the upkeep of warehouse grounds **About US:**ChampionX is now part of SLB, a global technology company driving energy innovation for a balanced planet.
