Job summary

Würth Baer Supply Company in Oak Park, MI is seeking a Local HAZMAT CDL-A Driver to join our logistics team. Monday through Friday schedule starts at 5:30am ET and ends around 2:00pm ET, with occasional overtime based on customer needs.

You will help with loading, unloading, and routine vehicle operations, servicing 10–15 stops daily across MI, OH, IN using both automatic and 10-speed manual transmissions as required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid CDL-A license with HazMat endorsement.
• DOT medical card required.
• Experience with loading/unloading and driving both automatic and 10-speed manual transmissions when needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver to 10–15 stops daily across MI, OH, IN as needed.
• Assist with loading/unloading and general material handling.
• Load the truck with warehouse staff and perform basic duties as required.
• Operate vehicles with automatic or 10-speed manual transmissions when requested.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 5:30am ET start time - ending at approximately 2:00pm ET with occasional overtime required based on customer needs

Number of Daily Stops: 10 to 15 varying in MI, OH, and IN when needed.

Loading Process: Warehouse associates load truck the prior day for next day's route. You will have to assist with loading duties as well as wrapping, etc. as needed.

Unloading Process: Some customers to unload their materials with a forklift upon delivery, but you will also be required to assist by hand as needed.

Transmission Type: Automatic in aforementioned vehicles but must know how to drive 10-speed manual transmissions in case Penske (who we lease our trucks from) sends us a manual during routine maintenance which can happen occasionally.

• Performance Bonus: In addition to the benefits below, drivers receive a $2000 performance bonus (taxable). Half at 3 months (90 days) and half at 6 months (180 days) for being in good standing with the company.
• Good Standing Defined: Consistent on-time arrival, safe operation and conduct, good attitude, good attendance, adherence to principles in company handbook and expectations set by management.

Product Summary: Cabinetry Hardware (drawer slides/hinges/handles), lumber, PPE, laminate countertop materials, plywood/laminates (“sheet goods”), cabinetry, paint/stain (AKA “finish and coatings”), fasteners, sandpaper goods (“abrasives”), sinks, lighting, woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools. Those are some of the main categories of goods.

HAZMAT Goods: Adhesives, Paint, Stains, Lacquer, etc. Must have a HAZMAT endorsement.

DOT Med Cert: Must have a current and valid DOT Med Cert
